New York hangs on for a 94-82 win over Tulsa

Just how Tulsa learned the tough way you can't win playing just three quarters on Tuesday against Seattle, New York nearly got taught the same lesson by the Shock on Thursday afternoon.

After leading by as many as 18 points in the 3rd quarter, Tulsa cut the lead to one point with 4:52 to play. But the Libs woke up to finish the game, going on a 7-2 run and then playing the foul game to spread the game out even more.

Leaders were 24 points and 12 rebounds from Kia Vaughn on 12-of-14 shooting. Cappie finished with 23 points and 10 assists, and three others hit double-digit scoring.

For the Shock, the rookies were the story. Lizzie Cambage with 22 points on 8-of-9 shooting and a 6-of-6 effort from the line. Kayla Pedersen chipped in 18 on 5-of-8 and also a perfect 6-of-6 from the line.
