De Souza Off to FIBA During Eastern Conference Finals

Atlanta Dream center Erika de Souza will miss the remainder of the WNBA Eastern Conference Finals, the team announced today.
De Souza is off to play for Brazil in the 2011 FIBA Americas Championship for Women, an Olympic qualifying tournament. The tournament ends October 1 and the WNBA Finals begin October 2 so if Atlanta wins the next two against Indiana then De Souza will rejoin the team.
As of this writing, Brazil was beating Paraguay 103-29. De Souza is already with her team and had scored 12 points with 4:52 left in the game.
