Odeen Domingo of the Arizona Republic reports that Phoenix Mercury post Krystal Thomas had a breakout game in her first start of the season last night against the Washington Mystics. Thomas didn't note a game-high but was an extremely efficient scorer, finishing with 15 points on 7-for-8 shooting and making her first five baskets. Read more >>>
The AP reports that the Tulsa Shock are trying to see if they can accelerate third-leading scorer Jennifer Lacy's rehabilitation from a torn meniscus injury that could hold her out 4-6 weeks. The Shock lost their first game without Lacy - and Scholanda Dorrell, who is dealing with the exact same injury suffered in the same game - last night. Read more >>>
Marc Allard of the Norwich Bulletin reports that the Connecticut Sun's rematch against the Indiana Fever tonight is important because it gives them an opportunity to clinch another season series against an Eastern Conference foe, which will obviously be important come playoff time.
