The 2012 women's SF Pro-Am begins its 17th year this Saturday at noon with three games on the schedule at Kezar Pavilion in San Francisco.

The six team field will play a round robin league through July followed by a playoff and championship game.

Last year's Pro-Am was particularly fun as we got a small preview of what Pac-12 freshmen Brittany Boyd, Jasmine Camp, and Amber Orrange might be able to do against Division I competition. This year's rosters don't offer quite that kind of intrigue, but still showcase a few of the west coast's brightest stars.

Notable Players On SF Pro-Am Rosters

Click here for a complete listing of the rosters. Below is a sampling of some of the noteworthy players who will be playing.

• Brittany Boyd, 5'9", Cal: Boyd is coming off a standout freshman year in the Pac-12, earning Pac-12 All-Freshman and All-Pac-12 Tournament team honors in leading Cal back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2009. She finished the season tied for second in assists in the Pac-12.
• Layshia Clarendon, 5'9" Cal: Clarendon enters her senior year coming off her first conference honor as she made both the All-Pac-12 team and the Pac-12 All-Tournament team. Clarendon is a scorer who benefited greatly from Boyd taking over point guard duties last season, committing 39 less turnovers than her sophomore year.
• Mel Khlok, 5'9", University of San Francisco: Mel Khlok is not a big name in college basketball but she led the USF Dons with a season-high 7 assists and game-high 4 steals in their huge upset of the BYU Cougars back in February. She was somewhat inconsistent in her junior season so it will be interesting to watch how her game evolves in the WCC this season.
• Amanda Lassiter, 6'1", Missouri/WNBA: Lassiter last played in the WNBA for the Chicago Sky in 2006 and her career block percentage of 2.1% is 21st all-time. She now plays in France along with fellow former Sky player KB Sharp. Laurent Jeannas recently described the 33-year-old Lassiter as having "beautiful athleticism" and it's fun to see that on display against the collection of talent at Kezar.
• Terilyn Moe, 5'8", Terra Nova/Nevada: Moe is noteworthy for being named to the ESPN and MaxPreps High School All State teams and becoming one of five students in the schools 51-year history to have her jersey retired. Moe will enter Nevada as a freshman this fall after being recruited locally by USF.
• Ki-Ki Moore, 5'9", Fresno State: Moore is coming off an outstanding sophomore season for which she was named first-team All-WAC, the 2012 WAC Tournament MVP award and 2012 WAC Player and Newcomer of the Year. Moore transferred to Fresno State from Washington State, where she won honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors and was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team for the 2009-10 season.
• Ashley Paris, 6'3", Oklahoma/Turkey: Paris is a former WNBA draft pick (22nd overall, 2009) who currently plays Ceyhan Belediyespor in Turkey (coincidentally with fellow Bay Area product Ashley Walker). Paris and her twin sister Courtney Paris - who recently signed with the Tulsa Shock - played high school ball across the Bay Bridge at Piedmont High School before heading to the University of Oklahoma. She averaged 11.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game starting next to her sister in her senior year.
• Lauren Seyranian, 5'9", Piedmont (2014): Seyranian is listed by ESPN's Hoop Gurlz as 20th-ranked recruit at shooting guard in the 2014 class. She currently attends the Paris' alma mater.
