US Women Match 20-Year Scoring Record In Rout Of China

The United States capped off pool play with a U.S. record-matching and record-breaking day. The American's tied their 20-year mark for total points in Olympic competition with 114, but fell short of the overall Olympic record of 128 set by Brazil in 2008. The offense was led by 22 points by Diana Taurasi and double-digit efforts by five others. Other American Olympic records that fell were 33 total assists and 52 made baskets.

Also, despite still having a game and a half to play today, Tuesday's quarterfinal round matchups are now set:
United States vs. Canada
Russia vs. Turkey
Australia vs. China
France vs. Czech Republic
