In keeping with SB Nation’s innovative use of social media in reshaping sports journalism, our vision is a women's basketball site that goes beyond merely providing game reports; instead, we want to capture the narratives that fuel our passion for the game, while maintaining the critical stance that helps us understand the game better.

Pat Summitt has signed an affidavit that supports Debby Jennings' gender discrimination suit against Tennessee and Athletic Director -- Dave Hart.

Tennessee Head Coach Emeritus, Pat Summitt has signed an affidavit that supports Debby Jennings' gender discrimination suit against Tennessee and Athletic Director -- Dave Hart.

One damaging aspect of this affidavit is that, "On February 15, 2012, I had a meeting with Dave Hart. I requested the meeting to talk to Dave Hart because I heard that he wanted to discontinue using the Lady Vol logo. In that meeting, he told me he intended to place all UT women's and men's athletic teams under the 'power T' so they would be 'all Volunteers.' I was angered when he came out in an interview with the media in May 2012 and denied he ever intended to do away with the Lady Vol logo."

But probably the most eye-opening aspect is Part 5 which states, "On March 14, 2012, I had another meeting with Dave Hart. The meeting took place prior to our team traveling to Chicago, Ill., for the NCAA tournament. During this one-on-one meeting, Dave Hart indicated to me that I would not be coaching the Lady Vol Basketball Team in the next school year (2012-13)."

More details to come later
