In keeping with SB Nation’s innovative use of social media in reshaping sports journalism, our vision is a women's basketball site that goes beyond merely providing game reports; instead, we want to capture the narratives that fuel our passion for the game, while maintaining the critical stance that helps us understand the game better.

As first reported by the Gwinnett Daily Post, Kaela Davis is no longer a member of the Buford Lady Wolves basketball team. Davis is the consensus #2 player in the country by multiple scouting services and has signed with Georgia Tech.

Davis, the 6-foot-2 do-everything guard, was recently named a WBCA All-American. She was also selected to partake in the WBCA All-American game on April 6 at the 2013 Women’s Final Four. Earlier this season, Davis had a 43 point performance against Dawson on January 8th.

Per the report, Davis had missed the last three Buford games and ironically Friday is senior night.

Davis has had a storied high school career: she has won two state championships (one at Norcross and one at Buford), two gold medals and was Class AA Player of the Year last year. She is the highest rated recruit ever signed by the Yellow Jackets. More Details to come later.
