The Los Angeles Sparks (5-8) dominated the boards which helped them defeat the Seattle Storm (6-10), 65-57.

Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike both scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds each to help the Sparks defeat the Storm, 65-57 at Staples Center. To put the frontcourt duo's rebounding in comparison to the Storm, they grabbed 22 rebounds, while the Storm had 24 as a team. Parker also added seven assists and four blocks.

Both Parker and Ogwumike were dominant in the fourth quarter, scoring 13 of L.A.'s 17 points in the period. In fact from 6:01 left in the quarter until the end of the game, no one else scored for the team besides either Parker or Ogwumike. Neither of them appeared to be getting much help from anyone else, as no other Sparks player scored in double digits. Alana Beard in fact was scoreless for this game. But to be fair, Beard did dish six assists, so she helped in other areas.

Seattle's posts, Camille Little and Crystal Langhorne both had underwhelming performances and had trouble against the Sparks, only combining for 12 total points. Temeka Johnson was the only Storm player to score in double digits, where she had 11 points and 5 assists.

The Sparks will finish off the month of June with a road trip to Tulsa this Saturday. The Storm will finish theirs with a home-and-home against the Minnesota Lynx, first with a home game on Friday, and a road game on Sunday.
