Gonzaga Selected First In WCC Preseason Poll, Three Starters All-Conference
In yesterday's piece about Gonzaga, one of the players that went unmentioned was senior Janelle Bekkering. Let's remedy that today.
Three Gonzaga starters were named to the WCC Preseason All-Conference team, including Bekkering, junior Katelan Redmon, and senior Courtney Vandersloot. Bekkering is a three year starter and played in the FIBA World Championships this summer as part of the Canadian National Team. As coach Kelly Graves looks for players to pick up the scoring slack left by their departing seniors, Bekkering will be one of those players expected to take a lead role.
