Tulsa Shock trade Scholanda Robinson to San Antonio

The San Antonio Silver Stars acquired 5-year veteran Scholanda Robinson from the Tulsa Shock in exchange for its second and third round draft picks in 2012.

Robinson had her best career offensive season in 2010, ranking second on the Shock with 11.9 points per game while adding 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists while starting 33 games and averaging 24.6 minutes per contest. She ranked eighth in the league in steals per 40 minutes (2.5) and 11th in steals per game (1.6) last season.

Scholanda joins draftee Danielle Robinson in San Antonio at the guard position. As the roster currently stands, the Silver Stars have nine guards listed - something that will obviously have to be paired down. As for the Shock, the off-season acquisition of Sheryl Swoopes has the potential opportunity to provide both the leadership and defense that defined Robinson's time in Tulsa.
