Connecticut Sun Head Coach Mike Thibault said that based on his last conversation he had with Center Sandrine Gruda, he expects that they will be without her services for the upcoming season. She is expected to stay in France.

The 6'4" post player would have been in her 4th season in the league. Gruda averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists per game last season.

Sandrine's absence leave the Connecticut Sun thin in the post with Tina Charles being the only legitimate center. Gruda's absence might improve 6'4" Stefanie Murphy's chances to make the roster.
