The Kansas City Shock is the first pro or semipro women's soccer team in the Kansas City area (and beyond). They have joined the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) and will field their first team for the 2013 season, which will be coached by Nicole Ortiz.

Dubbed the “Whiteout”, tryouts will be held from December 27 through December 29, 2012 at Piper High School in Wyandotte County; part of the Kansas City, Kansas metro area.
Anyone interested in coming to try out for the Kansas City Shock must fill out each of the forms on the home page of our website www.kansascityshock.com (also located in our “Downloadable Documents” and “Events” sections), and submit them with a registration fee of $25.00 no later than December 19, 2012. All forms and payment must be received no later than December 19th, 2012. Any registration forms received after this date will be subject to an additional late fee of $15.00 and payment must be included with the late registration documents or the applicant will not be considered as registered and cannot participate. The documents can be filled out electronically and e-mailed to Darci Wilson at [email protected] or printed and mailed to:

Payments may be in the form of a check or cash mailed with the tryout documents to the address above, or pay via credit card online on our home page or on our “Events” page under “2012 Whiteout Tryouts.”
Public spectators of all ages are more than welcome at tryouts; however, all participants must have graduated from high school no later than May 2012 in order to be accepted into the tryout process.
