ROSEMONT, Ill. – January 29, 2014 - Chicago Bandits GM, Aaron M. Moore, announced today the re-signing of first baseman/designated player Alisa Goler for the 2014 season.

“This is a big signing for the Bandits organization,” stated Moore. “Alisa is from Illinois, knows the Bandits well and represents the team in the community in a very positive light.

“Additionally, she continues to be a consistent presence in the middle of our order year in and year out. In 2013, she was very strong at the plate and we’re looking for that to continue. She has been working hard this offseason and we’re looking forward to seeing the results on the field.”

Drafted by the Bandits in the third round of the 2011 NPF College Draft as the 12th overall selection, the University of Georgia Bulldog quickly made a name for herself in the NPF, taking home the titles of both Worth Home Run Champion and Miken Rookie of the Year.

Goler continued to be an offensive force for the Bandits, as she finished the 2013 season with a .288 batting average and had 33 RBIs, her career high in the NPF, and six homeruns good for second-best overall on the Bandits. She had an on-base percentage of .406 during the season and her 30 base on balls led the league. She was fifth overall in the NPF in extra base hits with 14.

Despite both personal and team accomplishments she has enjoyed on the field, she knows the Bandits still have something to prove to themselves and the rest of the league.

“I’m very thankful for the opportunity to continue playing in the NPF this summer,” said Goler. “This will be my fourth season with the Chicago Bandits and I can’t imagine playing anywhere else.

“I grew up a Bandits fan and wearing the jersey every game never gets old. We have some unfinished business from last summer and I’m looking forward to the chance to win the last game of the season with my teammates, coaches and our amazing fans behind us in 2014.”

During the off season, Goler runs college exposure tournaments across the country for youth softball players through her business, Savvy Softball as well as managing the travel organization Southern Force Softball.
