I did some Skyping over the weekend with track star Alysia Johnson, an 800m stud from the United States, fresh off a bronze medal at the Indoor World Championships a little over a week ago.
Alysia was a California state champion in high school and went to the University of California at Berkeley, where she won the NCAA Championship in 2007 as a junior in 1:59.29, the second-fastest time ever run by a collegian. Alysia then struggled with an injury for a year or two, but is now on the comeback!
