About anngaff:

Chief Technical Officer, Women Talk Sports. I competed in Track & Field and Cross-Country in college at the University of Nebraska and competed professionally in Track & Field (3000m Steeplechase) fr...more

Sarah Goodlaxson wasn't allowed to play any sports growing up because her parents were against it for religious reasons. When she got to high school, she couldn't take it anymore and told her parents, "You can't stop me from being healthy!" She was allowed to play volleyball and run cross-country. Now the almost-22-year-old is an MMA fighter....with *gasp* tattoos! She says these days her parents have come around and are supportive of what she is doing.

I talked to Goodlaxson about this and more after she weighed in last night. Goodlaxson and Jess Philippus are the co-main event on tonights Blue Corner card at Harrah's Casino in Kansas City.
