A question regarding this comment was made again today (Day 3) in the press conference after Akron lost to the USSSA Pride. Marder simply reiterated her previous thoughts.
Finances are frequent issues for women's sports leagues (i.e. WPS). Could this be signs of issues within the National Pro Fastpitch league?
Although Marder alludes to the uncertain future, it appears that the NPF Championships are going to take place at the Ballpark at Rosemont in 2013. I guess time will tell how everything unfolds in the 2013 season, but I hope to be back covering these games in the following years.
