The Giants and Vikings were supposed to play in the Metrodome today. 17 inches of snow put the kibosh on that. This is the fifth time the fiberglass fabric roof bubble has collapsed, but I have never seen a video like this one.

The Giants’ charter plane was unable to land in Minneapolis on Saturday. They spent the night in Kansas City.

The game has been relocated to Detroit and will be played Monday night at 6:20pm, local time. Ticket-holders for the Metrodome who are able to get to Detroit have been promised seats on the 50 yard line. Free tickets will be available in Detroit starting at 8am. Those with tickets to today’s game in Detroit will also be able to attend without acquiring additional tickets.

good. i'm actually glad this happened. i live in the TC and hate the metrodome with a passion. our beutiful metro skyline has been uglied by this eye sore pillow-top mistake for 30 years, it's about time it collapsed and went away.

happiest man in minnesota today is the owner ziggy wilf, now he has leverage to force the legislature's hand into getting him a new building, or an excuse to not re-sign the lease next year. Say hello to the los angeles vikings everyone.
