The experts behind SPANX, the shapewear that conceals problem areas and smooths out lumps and bumps, have now expanded their line to include an Activewear range. The collection of pants, tops, shorts and socks features styles that are “visually slimming” and include performance benefits such as moisture-wicking properties.

“Our goal with SPANX Active was to create the perfect black pant that would conceal any tummy pooch and make your butt look amazing,” said Spanx Founder Sara Blakely. “Each piece in the collection is designed to help women look and feel great in a cinch without having to work for it.”

The “perfect black pant” incorporates new technologies such as a “Built-In Bagel Buster” to flatten the tummy, and a camouflaging Ponte fabric to smooth your butt and thighs. So now you can look like you go to the gym, while you go to the gym. A little confusing, yes. But as the saying goes, “if you look good, you feel good,” right? So why not add that extra boost of confidence to your exercise routine. At the same time, the basic, all-black pieces are versatile enough to be worn during your workout and beyond. Items are a bit pricey (ranging from $68 to $118) but SPANX brand loyalists will likely shell out the cash for the best looking behind in gym class.

Items are available at spanx.com. Would you wear SPANX at the gym?

Power Pant ($118); Power Knee Pant ($98)

Top Notch Cami ($68); Wrap & Go ($68)
