With each new day, companies are rolling out the fashions that we can expect to see come July, during the 2012 Olympic Games. The latest launch comes from the swimming category. The revolutionary new Speedo FASTSKIN3, unveiled yesterday, is the swimwear that will be worn by the sport’s top stars in London.

David Robinson, Speedo President, said, “Speedo has always been the pioneer of new swimwear technology and innovation, and this reputation is underpinned by the development of the FASTSKIN3 Racing System, another world-first from Speedo that will help swimmers achieve their full performance potential.”

Team USA Olympic swimmers Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Natalie Coughlin and Katie Hoff visited the Today Show to show off the new suits. Watch their appearance here:

The FASTSKIN3 was created to function as a Racing System, with a cap, goggle and suit engineered to work together. The new concept is meant to provide swimmers with “a cohesive, hydrodynamic solution to cut through the water with maximum efficiency.” The collection features three levels of technology, each tailored to the needs of swimmers of differing abilities: SUPER ELITE for professional athletes; ELITE for advanced competitors; and PRO for intermediate swimmers. The suit is futuristic in design, yet it still maintains an aesthetic that is characteristic of Speedo. To further promote the new gear, several of the athletes also took part in a fashion show at Skylight Studios in NYC, as seen below. The FASTSKIN3 is currently available at Speedo.com.
