Kobe Bryant has his basketball game and footwear game down pat and now he’s looking to score on the fashion front. Bryant is gearing up to release the third installment of his apparel line, K.O.B.E. Collection by Nike Sportswear. The name of the line is an acronym short for “Know, Originate, Battle, Elevate.” To Know represents the learning curve Bryant embarked upon as a professional basketball player. To Originate nods to his identity through accomplishments. To Battle is a reference to Bryant’s inclination to overachieve. And To Elevate symbolizes his goal to always reach for the impossible.
The 2012 Spring/Summer line will include tees, hoodies and rubgy shirts among other items, all meant to represent the basketball icon and his experiences and inspirations on and off-the-court. The collection is set to hit Nike Sportswear retailers in the coming months. Check out a preview of this year’s styles:
