Athletes are continuing to make their presence known during another season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Fans will see the pros dressed in designer threads, as they line show front rows to view the Spring 2013 men’s and women’s collections. To kick off the week, several sportsman participated in the Fashion’s Night Out festivities last night. Their duties included launching clothing lines, playing the role of fashion reporter and hobnobbing with the fashion elite. Here’s a breakdown:

Olympic gold medal figure skater, Kristi Yamaguchi, debuted her new activewear line at Lord & Taylor. The 18-piece collection, called “Tsu.ya,”  includes yoga pants, capris, tops, dresses and outerwear. Prices range from $40 to $150 and a portion of the proceeds will go to Kristi’s charity, Always Dream Foundation. The clothing range will be available at the retailer this Fall.

Olympic gold medal swimmer, Ryan Lochte, has put fashion at the forefront since completing the London Games. Serving as an E! network correspondant this week, his Fashion’s Night Out gig included interviewing Miami Heat guard, Dwyane Wade, and Vogue magazine editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. It’s no secret that Wintour has a strong affinity for athletes; she even tapped Lochte to appear on the magazine’s cover back in June. She’s sandwiched between the two athletes above, at the Calvin Klein store.

Wade also signed copies of his new book, A Father First, while Wintour signed copies of Vogue’s September issue.

Wade’s teammate, Chris Bosh, made an appearance at Nordstrom’s Treasure & Bond Store. GQ and Nordstrom launched the pop-up shop and while there, Bosh spent some time with the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Jim Nelson.

Also on-hand to celebrate with GQ were Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook and Boston Celtics point guard, Rajon Rondo. Rondo is the magazine’s new Fashion Week intern, providing coverage throughout the week.

Not to be outdone by his NBA competitors, Amare’s Stoudemire also had the chance to hang out with the Vogue editrix. The Knicks baller tweeted: “Always fun to hangout w/ Anna Wintour. We’re here @Saks 5th Ave for @FNONYC having a great time #FNO”

While at Saks Fifth Avenue, Amar’e signed copies of his book, STAT.

Olympic fencers Tim Morehouse, Dagmara Wozniak and David Carpenter were also at Saks Fifth Avenue, where they played Wii fencing with the stylish crowd. A Michael Bastian-clad Morehouse was the most popular among fans, as he signed copies of his book, American Fencer.

Sean Avery is one athlete who is never far from the Fashion Week action. The former New York Ranger attended “Stuart Weitzman Hosts Fashion’s Night Out” at the designer’s boutique.
