The NFL has been marketing to female fans through its fashion efforts, and now league has expanded into the beauty realm. Proctor & Gamble’s CoverGirl has become the NFL’s official beauty partner for the 2013-14 season. With the growing popularity of nail art, the two brands have teamed up to offer fans a new way to showcase their team allegiance.
As part of the partnership, the beauty brand will offer official NFL CoverGirl “fanicures,” inspired by all 32 NFL team logos and colors. The customized CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss bundles will include one combination per squad, with nail colors in corresponding team hues. The polishes retail for $5.49 and are on sale beginning today, only at CoverGirl.com/NFL.
“This unique collaboration will bring new meaning to wearing your team’s colors,” said Rhiannon Madden, the NFL’s director of Apparel. “We are thrilled to be teaming up with CoverGirl to celebrate our female fans with another innovative way to combine their passions for football and style.
NFL fans also will have the opportunity to experience “fanicures” in action at select home games — inside the stadium at NFL Style Lounges and outside the stadium via CoverGirl mobile manicure stations.
