Allyson Felix is the first female to be featured in the Nice Kick’s “Sneak Peek” series. The Olympic gold medalist offers sneaker aficionados and fans a glimpse inside her kicks collection and carefully coordinated sneaker set-up. Shoes are arranged by number and neatly kept in built-ins. A separate closet houses running shoe styles, including the Flyknit and Lunars, in a wide variety of colorways.

Felix explained that she began to pick up her shoe collection after switching from adidas to Nike. The 11s are among her favorites and several featured styles are decorated with her “AF” logo. Within the piece, Felix also shared the top shoes in her current rotation and dished on starting her collection and working with Nike.

On beginning her collection:

“The playoffs started off my love for Jordans, but my first pair, fifth grade basketball, the Grant Hills. That was the first time that I was actually able to get a shoe, so I had to get those when they came back out. From there on, that’s when I kind of fell in love and started collecting.”

On Nike:

“When I first moved to Nike that was one of the really cool processes, being able to collaborate with them on just coming up with the best shoe, something really innovative. I remember the first time I met Tinker, it was just awesome and just blown away up there. We’ve come up with some really cool stuff.”
