Air Jordans finally get a female touch.

It’s hard to believe but despite many loyal female fans, Nike has never had a woman design a shoe for the Jordan Brand. Until now. They called upon NY-based artist, video director and fashion designer, Va$htie Kola, to put a fresh new spin on the classic Air Jordan 2 kicks. The collaboration was an accomplishment in itself but the resulting footwear was even better.

The limited edition Ladies Air Jordan 2 Retros feature a leather lavender base with deep purple accents. A silver sole is complimented by subtle metallic touches on the laces, as Kola left no details unturned. While the overall look of the kicks is funky, hip and cool, the lavender colorway helps to maintain their feminine appeal.
