Avon turns to NASCAR champion for new fragrance.

Avon definitely has an affinity for athletes, as the company has worked with NY Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, tennis aces Venus and Serena Williams and NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne, to develop products. The latest sports star to join the Avon roster comes once again from the racing world: NASCAR’s Carl Edwards. The champion driver will serve as the face of the Avon's latest fragrance, Turn 4XT, debuting in November 2010.

According to Edwards, "Turn 4XT makes me feel confident and empowered, which is what racing is all about -- Avon truly captured that desire to win.”

So what does winning smell like? Turn 4XT has been described as “a masculine scent that embodies the rush that comes with risking it all for the win.” The Oriental Woody Fresh scent is meant to evoke strength, speed and confidence, while capturing the spirit of competition and the thrill of the chase.

Avon believes that Edwards exudes strength, determination and dedication, three qualities that the brand values highly as a company. Here's what he had to say about this new partnership:
