Dick's Sporting Goods opens NHL pop-up shop

A Glam Slam covers the latest news and trends in fashion and sports, wherever the two worlds collide.

Dick's Sporting Goods has announced the opening of a 5,000 square foot pop-up shop in Pittsburgh's Strip District. The temporary store is exclusively dedicated to the official merchandise of the 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, which is scheduled to take place between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals on January 1st at Heinz Field.

As the official retailer of 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, the Dick's Sporting Goods pop-up store will feature a large assortment of event merchandise, including replica jerseys, tees, fleece, hats, gift items as well as NHL Winter Classic-branded Reebok footwear for both the Penguins and Capitals.

The temporary location will be open through December 31, 2010, at which point Dick's will relocate their retail operations to an 800 square foot mobile store location at the NHL Spectator Plaza next to Heinz Field.
