During Sunday’s final round of play, Tiger Woods came close to making his big comeback at the Masters. We witnessed a major collapse from youngster Rory McIlroy. Charl Schwartzel’s impressive finish included birdies on his final four holes to earn the coveted green jacket. And the cherry on top of all of that great action was of course, the Masters’ fashions.

Form-fitting gear, shorter shirt sleeves, matching hats and large belts were among the changes to the game’s style landscape, while bold colors and plaid trousers made return appearances. A Glam Slam has broken down some of the biggest trends seen at this year’s Masters as well as some of the standout styles:

Several golfers modeled their on-course fashions after the Masters green jacket and the famous pink azaleas. A variation of green and pink hues dominated golfers’ attire, resulting in some fashion hits and several swings and misses. Many chose to pair their pinks and greens with simple black or white. Luke Donald took the trend to a whole different level, combining both colors in one ensemble, sending viewers into a total fashion frenzy. Here’s a look at the “pinks and greens” trend:

A total contrast to the colorful looks above, several golfers opted for simple, head-to-toe white ensembles. It’s certainly not an easy look to pull off and many believe white pants should be reserved for the beach, but Luke Donald, Adam Scott and Bubba Watson proved the minimalist white style can be just as cool on the course.

Augusta National delivered fashions in every color of the rainbow but Ricky Fowler’s flamboyant ensembles continued to bring a different aesthetic to the green. The Puma clad golfer sparked fashion buzz with his unique style selections, in particular, the monocramatic green outfit seen below. He even managed to break a few fashion rules along the way. While in the media center at Augusta for an interview, in typical Fowler style, the golfer turned his hat backwards committing an Augusta fashion crime. This prompted two requests from Augusta National member Ron Townsend, to turn it back around.

We’ve come to expect, and to enjoy, the variation of tartan bottoms that Ian Poulter introduces each time he plays. But he wasn’t the only one to sport plaid trousers in Augusta. The always popular golf fashion could also be seen on players like Hiroyuki Fujita and Ross Fisher. Perhaps Poulter should focus his styling efforts on Fujita, instead of Tiger Woods. It appears he could use some tartan assistance.

Ryan Moore’s tucked in tie and vest combos received another round of mixed reviews from golf fans and fashion enthusiasts. Love it or hate it, the “hipster” style makes him stand out every time even though that wasn’t his intention. “I love that golf kind of used to have that look, and I like to wear it when I can, when weather permits. That’s kind of — that’s just how I like to look. It’s not for attention or anything like that. I just think — I love that part, and I love that’s how golf used to be.”

And a special thank you to Charl Schwartzel for choosing to wear (almost) all black during the final round of play. The green jacket is a beautiful tradition but a not so beautiful piece of clothing, so pairing it with a colorful ensemble can result in a total fashion nightmare. Case in point: here’s a look at “The Top 5 Ways to Make the Masters Green Jacket Even Worse.” Thankfully, Schwartzel did not make the cut.
