In the "Pro Day" weekly series, Women Talk Sports explores career topics and talks with female sports executives who share their thoughts on professional success.

The “Pro Day” career series is headed to Boston! On Tuesday, Women Talk Sports will be attending the 2012 Women’s Leadership Symposium (WLS). After its inaugural session in 2001, the Symposium expanded its reach to become a leading workshop for sports industry professionals. The mission of the WLS is to provide educational programs to facilitate the recruitment, retention and support of women in intercollegiate athletics.

With an agenda featuring prominent athletic directors, commissioners and leadership gurus, the 2012 edition in Boston promises to deliver a memorable experience. For this aspiring young professional, it is an opportunity to learn from experienced administrators about topics such as strategic planning, advancing your career and communicating with different constituencies across campus or the office.

During this event, yours truly plans to interview a number of speakers for the Women Talk Sports’ “Pro Day” series on job advice and executive career paths. Got a question you’d like to hear answered by some of the movers and shakers in intercollegiate athletics? Leave me a comment below or email me at [email protected]. I’d love to include your thoughts while at the event!

See you next time from Boston!
