Do you have a women's sports blog? Do you or did you ever blog about female athletes? If so, we need you.

The John Curley Center for Sports Journalism at Penn State is interested in learning more about the contributors to WomenTalkSports, which it sees as playing an important role for women’s sports in the blogosphere.

Marie Hardin, associate director for research in the Center, has approached me and asked if members would be interested in participating in a research project in the Center. We'd also like to open this up to our external community of loyal sports fans (men AND women), too.

The interviews would involve discussing your attitudes, values and goals and what you believe to be the most pressing issues facing women’s sports and those who cover women’s sports. To allow you to speak freely, your identities will not be attached to any published results. The interviews will be transcribed and you’ll receive a transcript of your interview.

The Center will provide us with a report, will post a short report on its Web site, and will also publish results in academic settings such a books and journals. Also, the Center will donate $25 to WomenTalkSports.com for each participant who is interviewed.

Please consider participating in this research, which will take just 60 minutes of your time when it’s convenient for you. To volunteer, please send Erin Ash an email at [email protected], and she’ll get you scheduled.
