Pat GriffinThis week, we'll be talking with Dr. Pat Griffin, former director of It Takes a Team! education campaign for LGBT issues in sport at the Women's Sports Foundation. On October 4, 2010, Dr. Griffin released a groundbreaking report titled On The Team: Equal Opportunity for Transgender Student Athletes.

On today's WomenTalkSports radio show episode, we're going to discuss Pat's background, and discuss principles outlined in her report relating to high school and intercollegiate athletic standards for transgender athletes. We'll also touch upon some popular news in the transgender athlete community, including Kyle Allums, the first NCAA Division 1 transgender athlete to participate in women's basketball at George Washington University, as well as Lana Lawless's law suit against the LPGA and LDA and their respective sponsors.

The interview will start at 3pm PST / 6pm EST today (11/14/10) and is available via the "play button" in the widget below. Or, you can click this link.
