So Griner popped someone and is suspended for two games. I've been avoiding the MSM coverage but I expect it was sensationalist in the extreme. The little I've watched Griner I've been unimpressed with her attitude, but lots of young players of whatever gender have bad tempers, plus trouble handling pressure and intense media attention. Mechelle gets at features of the story that others would normally overlook, as usual. Players get in trouble. Unless their failings are particularly egregious, there's really no reason to overdo it...unless we're dealing with the cult of the ladylike again. Sigh.
