Check-out Clerk At Whole Foods: [indicating Colts hat] Well, I wouldn't have told you to come over here if I'd seen your hat.
Me: There were Steelers fans in the parking lot, so I had to do something to oppose that.
Clerk: I support that. There's only one team I truly can't stand, and it's the Steelers. And you guys have such good sportsmanship, you kind of have to root for you.
Me: [declining to mention the whole Marvin Harrison shooting someone incident] That's true, they're good guys. Who do you root for?
Clerk: Oh, the Bengals. What happened to you guys this weekend, though? Against Houston, wasn't it Houston? That was just painful to watch. I mean, it was worrying.
Me: It worried us too.
Clerk: Oh, it did.
Me: But we'll be okay.
Clerk: Yeah, hard to see that going on. Have a great week. And a better weekend this time.
Me: For sure.
