The Storm is on a bus headed to the White House, the team reporting via Twitter that players are dressed to impress. President Obama will honor them for their 2010 WNBA Championship, the Storm giving him a replica championship ring with his name on the side of one panel. The organization is also giving Obama a Storm jersey displaying the number 10 in reference to the championship year, not PG Sue Bird.

Five members from the championship squad are not making the trip, three-time MVP Lauren Jackson traveling to Colorado to see a specialist regarding her injured left hip. Former teammates Svetlana Abrosimova (Russia) and Jana Vesela (Czech Republic) are competing in Poland for an Olympic bid while Australians Abby Bishop and Alison Lacey are in their native country.

Entire Storm team dressed up, looking fabulous! Katie in bright red, Swin in navy blue. Ashley looking stunning. Bus rolling to White House.
