Could somebody wake Murphy? Seems his law has overlooked Washington State and No. 4 Stanford. When combined, the Cardinals' two most unlikely streaks equal more than a century's worth of games and it never appears to waver.

Well, Stanford's 71-game home win streak was last challenged by Oregon State, winning 67-60 on Jan. 7. But this befuddling 52-game win streak against WSU where Stanford has only played the Cougs close a handful of times -- since 1983?

Surely that has change some time, right Murphy?

Well, the Washington schools have landed in the Bay Area for the toughest trip on the Pac-12 schedule. WSU plays at Stanford on Thursday while Washington plays at California. It's a homecoming for a lot of players and coaches, particularly standouts Jazmine Davis (UW) and Jazmine Perkins (WSU), who both played in the same Oakland AAU program.

After a heated rivalry game ended in Washington's 33-consecutive win last week, we'll see if WSU can change the tide versus Stanford -- getting the first-ever win in school history. Until then, here's the full Pac-12 lineup this week and my latest rankings:

2. (2) USC (9-6, 4-1): Snapped a four-game losing streak to UCLA last weekend.

3. (4) California (13-5, 4-2): Really wishing it snagged signature nonconference win now.

4. (3) Colorado (13-3, 2-3): Needs a sweep in the desert to regain confidence.

5. (5) WSU (9-8, 3-2): Prime-time redo at Cal on Sunday, 3:30pm (PST) ROOT Sports.

6. (6) Arizona (12-4, 2-3): Hosts newcomer Colorado on ROOT Sport, 1:30pm (PST) Sun.

7. (7) UCLA (7-9, 2-3): Lost three of past four and hosts improved OSU on Thursday.

8. (9) OSU (11-6, 2-4): Beavers are 9-1 when they hold opponents under 60 points.

9. (8) ASU (11-5, 2-3): Put pencils down, this week all about defense and little scoring.

10. (10) Oregon (10-8, 2-4): Ducks 0-5 on road this season and play at LA schools next.

11. (11) Washington (10-5, 2-3): C Regina Rogers (hamstring) game-time decision v Cal.

12. (12) Utah (8-8, 1-4): Travels to desert to play old Intermountain Athletic Conference foes.

Pac-12 POW: Stanford sophomore F Chiney Ogwumike.
WCC POW: Saint Mary's senior G Alex Carbonel.
Big Sky POW: Montana junior F Katie Baker.
WAC POW: San Jose State senior F Brittany Johnson.

My Golden Apple: Washington freshman PG Jazmine Davis and senior F Mackenzie Argens. Playing without leading scorer Regina Rogers (hamstring) and reserve Marjorie Heard (ACL), Davis took over to lead the Huskies offensively while Argens made sure rival Washington State was limited on the glass in a 60-51 road win Saturday. Davis finished with 25 points. Argens had 12 rebounds.

Play it back: Gonzaga dropped out of the media poll (not mine) after its loss to St. Mary's on Saturday, the first to the Gaels in 17 years. It'll be interesting to see how the Zags (15-3, 4-1 WCC) respond on the road at Santa Clara (8-9, 1-3) and San Diego (12-4, 3-1) this week.
