Jayda Evans covers college and pro women's basketball. While its her first year on the Washington beat, she has covered the Storm since its inception. She'll offer observations, critiques, occasional off-beat tales and answers to select e-mail inquires. Evans also has written a book on the Storm and women's hoops, called "Game On!"

Thanks for sharing your stories and condolences regarding the passing of Karen Rolstad, my friend and longtime Storm fan. They have been passed on to the family and they appreciate our sentiments.
The Seattle Times published an obituary in the newspaper's Northwest Thursday section today. You can read the entry online here, which is also a website where you can submit your own words or learn a little more about Karen.
A celebration of Karen's life will take place on Sunday at 11 am at the Hazen High School Auditorium, 1101 Hoquiam Ave NE; Renton, WA 98059. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make a donation in Karen's name to PAWS, Seattle Women's Chorus or Providence Hospice of Seattle.
To the right is a photo of Karen (L), her partner Jan Reinsvold and their retired show dogs Mario and Tomas. I can't tell which of the boys is which, however. The photo was taken in October 2012.
