Storm's home court to get a new name

Jayda Evans covers college and pro women's basketball. While its her first year on the Washington beat, she has covered the Storm since its inception. She'll offer observations, critiques, occasional off-beat tales and answers to select e-mail inquires. Evans also has written a book on the Storm and women's hoops, called "Game On!"

Say goodbye to catchy slogans like, "The fans are the Key" when it comes to future Storm games. The Associated Press is reporting that KeyBank isn't renewing its sponsorship with Seattle Center after 15 years of owning the naming rights of the basketball facility.

KeyArena also hosts Seattle University basketball, Rat City Rollergirls matches, concerts and other events.

Seattle Center is searching for a new sponsor. KeyArena will retain its name until a new backer is found. Alaska Airline recently bought the naming rights to the 84-year-old Edmundson Pavilion, making its debut on Thursday for No. 20 Washington's win against Arizona.
