Washington B-ball to host a silent auction on Sunday

Jayda Evans covers college and pro women's basketball. While its her first year on the Washington beat, she has covered the Storm since its inception. She'll offer observations, critiques, occasional off-beat tales and answers to select e-mail inquires. Evans also has written a book on the Storm and women's hoops, called "Game On!"

Huskies2.jpgWashington's annual silent auction will take place on the Edmundson Pavilion concourse Sunday when the Huskies host Washington State. Proceeds benefit the UW women's basketball team.

Doors open at 11 a.m. for the noon game and the auction extends through halftime. There's more than 50 items including autographed memorabilia from the 2010 Storm championship team, the dominant Husky men's basketball squad, and other Washington programs like golf and volleyball.

Here's a list of some of the items up for bid:

*Two bottles of Leonetti wine
*Amethyst sterling silver pendant on a 16-inch, 14K white gold chain
*Southern dinner for six with coach Tia Jackson and her staff
*Autographed banner of Giuliana Mendiola in record-breaking game versus UCLA
*Two sideline passes to Sept. 10, 2011 UW football game versus Hawaii
*Be a Ball Kid (three to five games) and get four season tickets with parking
*Two tickets to Sounders FC opening night against LA Galaxy
*Party for 15 kids at a Husky women's basketball game
