Huskies2.jpgFSN Northwest picked up Washington's upcoming road game against Washington State on Feb. 26, moving tip-off to 5:30 p.m. instead of 7:30. It's the fourth time the Cougars (8-17, 6-7 Pac-10) have been on television this season, winning the most Pac-10 games since their 1997-98 season.

The trip marks the beginning of a three-game road trip for the Huskies (10-12, 5-8). UW defeated WSU 64-52 at Edmundson Pavilion in January, but narrowly won 76-70 in overtime in Pullman last season. The Huskies own a 31-game win streak against the Cougs.

In other Washington news, the team's annual banquet is scheduled for this Sunday. It's an odd time to hand out MVP and Most Inspirational awards, but the change wasn't to signify anything ominous. According to a spokesman, it had to do with booking Maggiano's in Bellevue's Lincoln Square and coordinating schedules of all involved.

Most college teams have end-of-season banquets in April -- because it's the end of the season. Washington will be gearing up for Apple Cup week and then will still have the conference tournament and any postseason action left on its schedule.

Anyway, if interested in attending the banquet, tickets are still available. Table reservations start at $60 a person, or $480 for a group of eight. Fans with questions should contact Husky Special Events by calling (206) 685-3739.
