A few months ago I announced I'm speaking at this year's Fitbloggin' conference and now I some fun details for you about my presentation and how you can get involved.

Katy and I will be talking about social media and how you can use it to be a more efficient and effective blogger.

Now the two of us just talking to you about social media isn't very...well, social. So we want to get you involved, whether or not you're attending the conference.

To do that, we're offering one lucky blogger a chance to win a social media makeover.

Here's what the makeover entails: Starting in January, Katy and I will do an assessment of your social media usage (blog, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and offer simple tweaks that could help boost your blog. This is not a design makeover -- more of a philosophical audit of everything you're doing to build community. We'll be looking for things you're doing AND not doing and make suggestions. Then, together we'll measure what worked and what still needs work.

If you're interested, here's what we need from you:

• You must already have a blog. We are not offering setup services -- just makeovers.
• You must be willing to take our suggestions and enact them so we can measure success. You will have some latitude and will be able to work with us if you're uncomfortable with something or have concerns, but we want someone who is eager for our advice!
• We cannot guarantee any changes to your readership or community-- so if you're looking for a get-rich-quick tool, this isn't it!
• You must be willing to let Katy and I have access to some behind-the-scenes information AND share some of the work at the Fitbloggin' conference in May 2011.
