There has been a lot of talk recently about how horrible it was to have the women’s vert cut from X Games Seventeen. There have been blogs, petitions, movies and more to rally along the girls of skate to reclaim the event. Although this year was absent the vert, next year will see the addition of women’s park for the skate girls, 90% sure.

However, there is a group of riders with even less. They work as hard as the skaters and have never had a contest, so to all of you out there behind girls in action sports, check out the women of BMX.

Camila Harambour and Mini Park traveled from Korea and Argentina to X Games this year to be present and build the voice for girls at this event. A proposal was sent to X Games earlier this year and the process has begun. These athletes are traveling from around the world and are not even provided a demo at X Games. Not yet…

Camila, Mini, along with Angie Marino, Nina Buitrago and Jessica Ausec had an autograph session for girls day, taking the time to sit down with the fans and say hello. The tent was packed until the posters were gone and everything else possible was signed.

The girls were volunteering at the booth to help out with gro at X Games and working with media from local news to Red Bull, documentary crews and more. Working to spread the word.

Every day of the event they held hour long workshops for girls at X Games to learn to ride BMX for free. Learning how to ride with the world’s top pros!

Mini Park, demoing on the interactive park. You can’t stop the girls from riding!

Thank you to all five amazing ladies, Natalie Wade and the other BMX Girls at X Games. Look for more photos from X Games, Nike 6.0 BMX Pro and Woodward coming from gro BMX.
