Have you ever noticed how singers and actors always seem to hook up with each other? There’s Gwen and Gavin, Brad and Angelina… the list goes on and on. Well in sports, it’s no different. In honor of Valentine’s Day, here’s a look at some of the sports world’s hottest love stories.

Andre Agassi - Steffi Graff

Love Match
Former world No.1 Steffi Graf and her husband, former No.1 ATP player Andre Agassi are married and have two children, Jaden and Jaz. Imagine the serve and volley game those kids are gonna have.

Havin’ a Ball
Soccer star Mia Hamm and former shortstop Nomar Garciaparra were married on 22 November 2003. The two met five years earlier when Garciaparra, who could have gone to college on a soccer scholarship, lost a charity penalty-kick contest to Hamm at Harvard. The couple have twin girls.

Two-time Olympic gold medalist soccer player Heather Mitts married Rams QB A.J. Feeley in 2010. It was a dark day for male Mitts fans as she was routinely counted among the sexiest single athletes in the world.

Ace in the Hole
Danish tennis star and former world no. 1 Caroline Wozniacki is dating Irish golfer Rory McIlroy. The pair have been dating for 18 months since meeting at a boxing match in Germany. While they haven’t officially announced their engagement Woz has been seen sporting a very large diamond ring.

Perfect Balance
Gymnasts Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner met in 1976 at gymnastic’s American Cup at Madison Square Garden in New York, where he won the men’s title and she won the women’s. He was 18 and she was 14. As the men’s title winner, he was asked to kiss her for the photographers. The couple have been married since 1996.

Ice Ice Baby
Kristi Yamaguchi and Bret Hedican have hot love that’s almost always on ice. She’s a former figure skating Olympic gold medalist. He’s a smooth skating defenseman for the Florida Panthers hockey team. Together they have two daughters.

Pitch Perfect
Olympian Jennie Finch, considered softball’s poster princess, married her charming knight, Diamondbacks pitcher Casey Daigle in 2005. Last month the couple announced the birth of daughter Paisley Faye Daigle. The couple also has two sons, 6-year-old Ace Shane and 18-month-old Diesel Dean.

A Day at the Beach
Volleyball superstar Gabrielle Reece met her husband, top surfer Laird Hamilton, while riding monster waves in Hawaii. They married in 1997 and their daughter, Reece, was born in 2003.

Catch Me If You Can
American runners Kara and Adam Goucher have a son, Cold, who was born in 2010. Kara returned to running shortly thereafter and ran in the Boston Marathon. She competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics finishing 11th in the marathon.

Dig Deep
Olympic volleyball player Kerri Walsh is married to fellow pro beach-volleyball player Casey Jennings. Together, they have two sons, Joseph Michael (Born in 2009) and Sundance Thomas (Born in 2010). The couple announced on the Today Show that they are expecting their third child, a girl, in April 2013. Walsh was five weeks pregnant during the 2012 London Summer Olympics.

From reader Steven Watanabe come these great additions (can’t believe I missed the first two):

Matt Treanor and Misty May-Treanor. Catcher Matt Treanor most recently played for the Los Angeles Dodgers while Misty is a beach volleyball player. They were engaged after just two months of dating and married in 2004.  After winning her third Olympic gold medal at the London Games with partner Kerri Walsh Jennings, Misty retired from competition in order to start a family.

Candace Parker and Shelden Williams. Both are basketball players. Candace is currently with the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA, and Shelden has been playing in the NBA since 2006. They were married in 2008, and Candace gave birth to  daughter Lailaa in 2009.

Another NBA/WNBA couple is Curtis Borchardt and Susan King-Borchardt. They both met (and got married) while attending Stanford University, in 2003. Curtis went on to play in the NBA for a few years, and is now playing in Europe. Susan played briefly for the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA during the 2005 season.

Olympic runner Sanya Richards-Ross and New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross met at the University of Texas and were married in 2011. Ross won another Super Bowl ring last year and Richard-Ross added to her collection of Olympic medals in London last summer.
