Volleyball player Kim Glass is the epitome of a pretty tough woman. The 6’3″ All-American volleyball player is an outside hitter who made her first Olympic appearance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, helping Team USA to win a silver medal.

Prepping now for the London 2012 Games, Glass is a whirlwind of activity. She’s currently featured in ESPN The Magazine’s 2nd Annual “Body Issue” hitting newsstands Oct. 8.

Glass is joined in the Body Issue by WNBA superstar Diana Taurasi, who graces the cover, along with a host of other athletes including tennis champ Venus Williams, New York Knicks star Amar’e Stoudemire, Olympic skier Julia Mancuso, U.S. World Cup goalkeeper Tim Howard; PGA Tour golfer Camilo Villegas, track and field athlete Lolo Jones, figure skater Evan Lysacek, surfer Kelly Slater, Dutch wheelchair tennis player Esther Vergeer and ex-NFL running back Herschel Walker.

We caught up with Glass at a recent exercise retreat in Beverly Hills hosted by sponsor Under Armour. She’s a commanding figure in both stature and personality and it’s clear this is one athlete who absolutely loves her job. Listen to what she has to say in this fun interview.
