See Much More Giveaway

Win a trip to the optometrist and a pair of Tommy Bahama sunglasses while learning how to keep your eyes healthy with the VSP Vision Care See Much More Giveaway!!

As an athlete, protecting your eyes and keeping them healthy is important. That's why everyone, both adults and children, should get an annual eye exam, starting at six-months-old — it's as important as regular trips to the dentist.

To bring your attention to the importance of eyesight and overall vision health, WomenTalkSports has teamed up with VSP Vision Care, the nation's largest not-for-profit vision benefits and services company, to give away a free visit to the optometrist and pair of women's Tommy Bahama sunglasses. One lucky reader of WomenTalkSports will have the opportunity to visit a VSP doctor near her hometown and receive a complimentary check-up in addition to discounts on any prescriptions, and receive new sunglasses (http://www.tommybahama.com/TBG/Women/Sunglasses.jsp) (Value: $650)

Just how important is eyecare to your overall wellness? I encourage you to check out http://www.SeeMuchMore.com to get the scoop. There you'll find loads of great information about how valuable your vision is in all aspects of your life – personally, professionally, and physically – as well as tips for maintaining healthy eyes, videos, and fun games and apps.

Also, take a look at VSP's new eye chart app, http://eyechart.seemuchmore.com, allowing users to create fun, unique messages on eye charts and send to friends, it also works with Facebook!”

Entering the giveaway is easy – just name something you learned from SeeMuchMore.com, in the comments below. You can also CLICK HERE to tweet about this contest. We'll randomly select a winner from the comments AND the tweets, so do both to better your chances.

The contest ends on Monday, November 2, 2009, and is limited to entrants from the U.S. and Canada. Twitter users must follow @womentalksports to be eligible to win.

I find it disturbing that people do not take care of their eyes, especially all those people who have never gotten their eyes checked OR only get their eyes checked every 3-4 years. It is scary to think that people are that careless with their bodies, and that eyesight is taken for granted for most people. If you can't tell...I'm a little jealous that I don't have perfect eyesight. :)

I learned a couple of thing I didn't know already. Turn off the overhead lights when using computer, and look away from the computer every 20 minutes. Good tips I will follow! I am in dire need of new Rx sunglasses. Here in FL the sun is really hard on the eyes!

I learned that alot of people neglect their eye care and most still drive throught the day and night which endanger us all and increase his/her vulnerability to getting into an accident as oppose to a person who has had there eyes checked and were the proper corrective lenses but may have to suffer for a irresponsible person who neglected there eye care.

Hey! Thanks for the great contest. I learned something new about kids having to have an eye exam at 6 months, 3 years and also before kindergarten. That's a lot earlier than expected. Thanks again!
