Brooklyn-born Santi White, better known by her stage name Santigold, is celebrated as a unique and inspiring figure on today’s musical landscape. Having gained acclaim for her fearless self-expression, it is no surprise that her personal aesthetic reflects her eclectic artistry. With her incredible sense of style and love for Vans, the shoe company and Santigold joined forces for a special February 2011 shoe release.

Known for their beloved sneakers and skateboarding shoes, Van’s are for those who are fans of casual comfort and classic style. Working with a new “Tosha Hi” silhouette and combining Santigold’s celebrated aesthetic, the limited Vans x Santigold collaboration features a unique, perforated full grain leather with faux gold accents, including a chain and topped off with a custom SG pin designed by jewelry designer Jules Kim of Bijules.

In 2008, Santigold’s eponymous album established her as one of the most exciting and fearless artists to emerge in the last decade. The album was widely praised for its genre-defying sound and instantly memorable melodies and was on best of 2008 top 10 lists across the globe.

Today, Santigold is currently at work on her highly anticipated new album due out in 2011
