All White Kit offers coverage of women's soccer around the world from a fan's perspective. AWK will feature the latest news, analysis, and commentary on the women's game. Match reports, scores, schedules, standings and opinion pieces will be on share. We aim to become a resource for any follower of women's soccer.

  • Unconfirmed rumor of the day: magicJack (formerly the Washington Freedom, magicTalk SC and magicJack SC/Washington Freedom) will play all of the team’s home games in Florida.

  • If this is indeed the case, magicJack is essentially an expansion team and au revoir, the Washington Freedom. magicJack’s team colors will be green, black and white.

  • The Examiner reports that the Vancouver Whitecaps could become the first MLS club to field a women’s team in WPS.

  • Former Boston Breaker and Our Game Magazine editor Tiffany Weimer has signed with the team as a player-ambassador. The Province has more.

  • Jeff Kassouf warns that the Whitecaps likely won’t enter the league next year unless a Seattle franchise follows suit.

  • According to this article, Ali Krieger has left Frankfurt in order to train with the USWNT. It’s still not clear if she’ll return to the club next season but the quote from Siegried Dietrich makes her departure sound pretty absolute.

  • Germany has announced its pre-World Cup friendlies. The two-time defending world champions will play North Korea on May 21, Italy on June 6, a TBD opponent on June 7 and Norway on June 16.

  • Australia Women’s National Team stalwart and LDB Malmo player Kate Gill briefly discusses why she decided against playing in WPS. Concerns over a lack of football culture and instability are mentioned, in case you don’t want to scroll over to the 6:12 minute mark.

  • Here’s a terrific article about the difficulties facing women’s club soccer in Israel.

  • Arsenal Ladies will travel to Everton for the fifth round of the FA Women’s Cup this Sunday. This is a repeat of last year’s FA Cup final and serves as a curtain-raiser to the impending April 13 kick-off of the FA WSL.

  • Top Drawer Soccer, via MLSSoccer.com, has an article about USWNT U-23 standout Sarah Hagen and her recent dominant performances with the team in Spain.

  • The U-20′s were in action this week in La Manga, Spain. The team defeated Norway 2-0 and earned a scoreless draw against England. The opening match against Sweden was called off to lightning. Prospective Duke Blue Devil Kelly Cobb tallied a goal and an assist in the Norway match. The Alaskan native is briefly profiled here.

  • WLS’ FC Indiana announced the signing of three outstanding young African players. Nigerian Ebere Orji was shortlisted as a candidate for the Golden Ball at the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Elizabeth Cudjoe scored three goals for Ghana at the tournament. 17 year-old Jermaine Seoposenwe scored South Africa’s only two goals in the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

  • In other WLS news, Fort Wayne SC is the newest club to join the six-team league. The club’s roots trace back to 1927.

  • Steffi Jones visited Mexico as part of the official 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup Welcome Tour. She was greeted by President Felipe Calderon and First Lady Margarita Zavala. Previously, Jones stopped in Equatorial Guinea. She was a guest at a welcome event attended by two hundred people.
