The first female fight under the Zuffa banner is set for Friday night.
Germaine de Randamie (145) and Julia Budd (145.5) were on weight for their match at Strikeforce Challengers Friday night in Kent, WA.
This is a rematch of sorts, as Randamie TKOed Budd in a kickboxing match in 2008. Since then, Budd wanted a rematch, and Randamie was more than willing to accept.
The winner of this match could have a strong argument as a challenger to Cyborg Santos’s 145 pound title.
Strikeforce Challengers will be live on Showtime Friday night.
