Wombat sports is dedicated to women in combat sports. Former news editor of “Fightergirls” MarQ Piocos has been covering Women’s MMA for over three years, having picked up coverage of wrestling, boxing, and grappling. It is his vision to bring some of the best coverage to help bring and promote the ever expanding popularity of women’s MMA, wrestling, and martial arts with some of the best writers and athletes.

Some of the best coaches and fighters from MMA put the attendees through their paces on the second day of the G2 Women’s MMA Summit.
The day started out with Strikeforce champion Cyborg Santos teaching striking at the Wand Fight Team gym. Fighter Kim Couture assisted in what was an intensive warm-up to the day.

At Throwdown, MMA Coach of the year Greg Jackson and Julie Kedzie gave a strategic seminar. Inspirational word from Jackson ended the seminar, with Kedzie following suit.
The afternoon sessions started with All-American wrestler and Bellator fighter Carla Esparza went through takedowns in MMA.

Gerson Schilipacke went on to teach the attendees Chute Boxe methods that made many fighters champions.
After a full second day, Shayna Baszler taught some innovative and fun submissions to the attendees.
The night saw a huge UFC party at Lagasse’s Stadium hosted by Strikeforce champion Cris Cyborg Santos and Kim Couture. Some of the best fighters on the planet were there under one roof.

The final day had three solid seminars to wind up the summit. Jessica Aguilar (one one foot none the less) did her seminar, teaching submissions. During a break, Aguilar and the attendees also got a lesson on a north-south choke from BJJ world champion Lana Stefanac.

The Summit ended with Stefanie Guimares, Tami Caldwell, and Jessica Martinez doing a conditioning seminar. This includes playing shadow boxing dodgeball, and striking training.

It was a great three days in Vegas, and the fighters, seminar instructors, attendees, and the organizers found this weekend a great experience. A major announcement is coming up later this week.
