“Gina Carano should be back by the end of 2011.”
That was the quote from Strikeforce head Scott Coker yesterday in an interview with MMAWeekly.com. Carano has been hush about why she pulled out of her match with Sarah D’Alelio this past June; but was in great spirits at Comic-con this past week. Coker stated that Carano would be back in training within the the week.

Coker also stated an update on Strikeforce 145 pound champion Cris “Cyborg” Santos would be made this week, as negotiations continue on her contract. A 145 pound match between D’Aleio and Olympic Judoka Ronda Rousey is scheduled for Srikeforce Challengers Aug. 12 – the winner could be the possible opponent for Cyborg or Carano later this year.
