WBC President Jose Sulaiman sees value in female fights, and wants promoters to give them their just dues.

In a press conference this week, Sulaiman stated that he wants promotions to guarantee Women’s World title holders receive $30,000 minimum for their fights, with challengers getting no less than $8,000.

Sulaiman used the recent match with Jackie Nava and Ana Marie Torres as an example of how popular the sport has grown. The match this past April had a 14.5 TV rating.

“It is only right that women must be compensated for their efforts and abilities,” Sulainman stated.
