It’s Official Official – Cris Cyborg has Been Re-signed to Strikeforce

There has been rumors of Strikeforce 145 pound champion Cyborg Santos signing back with the promotion for the past few months, but we finally can state it as fact.

Cyborg tweeted that the deal is now signed, sealed, and delivered, and is confirmed via a press release on her website.

“Cris is ecstatic to be staying under the Zuffa umbrella for another year,” her management expressed in the statement. “She would like to thank Strikeforce and Zuffa for the opportunity to prove she is the best 145lb Woman in the world. Cris has been training and is ready to step back into the cage to defend her Strikeforce belt.”

Strikeforce is expected to release a statement in the next few days about the new contract and her next match, which is rumored to be towards at the end of the year.
